June 2021 Seasonal Poster
June is the month of the Summer, focused around the Solstice on the 21st. The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. Each year, the sun follows the path of an upright infinity sign, called an analemma; this moment is when the sun reaches the top of the sign and appears to stand still, before changing direction to travel back to the lowest point at the Winter Solstice.
The solar energy is also recoginsed on Father's Day, which is always the third Sunday in June. As well as a time to celebrate the personal father figures in your life, it is also an opportunity to rejoice in the sun at the height of its power, as the sun is often associated with the energy of the divine masculine, the father of the sky.
On the 21st the sun moves into the sign of Cancer, which signals a time to focus on nuturing self care, home and family life. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce a new, nurturing, self care ritual - perhaps a change in your morning routine.
